How you can help.
The primary aim of PAWING is to look after the animals in our direct care. At present, we provide a 'forever home' to two dogs, six cats, one rat and ten ex-battery hens, many of which have disabilities. As well as caring for PAWING's rescued animals, we also provide support to other animals in need by fundraising, free advertising on our website and making donations to urgent causes.
We regularly assist as helpers and advisers on ex-battery hen rehoming days, help advertise for homes needed for unwanted animals and promote vegan values in our outlook.
We are also a friend and supporter to The Rainbow Ark Animal Sanctuary in Durham. Please click this link to find out more about this lovely haven for animals.
PAWING constantly needs help with funds so we can continue with our vital work. Please consider making a donation to help us today. Thank you!

How We Help
Kick cruelty out of your life for good - if you eat meat but are considering vegetarianism, the best time to do it is NOW! Check out the Vegetarian Society for advice about your compassionate new lifestyle.

Buy animal friendly products. Advertisers bombard us with shiny new products every day, but do you know how many of these products are tested on animals? For a guide to animal friendly goods, have a look at the Animal Free Zone

Fido and Tiddles go veggie! Yes - it's true! If you think that you have no choice but to feed meat to your cat and dog, have a look at VeggiePets. They produce vegetarian and vegan pet food that is full of all the vitamins and minerals your pet needs!

Rescue a pet - don't buy one! Millions of unwanted pets are put to sleep every year in the UK alone because there aren't enough homes for them. This, like all aspects of animal cruelty, is avoidable. Please consider taking in a rescued pet rather than buying one. Have a look at Animal Rescuers UK to find a shelter in your area.
